Dear colleagues,
Yale University Library seeks a dynamic and collaborative Metadata Strategy and Outreach Librarian within the Metadata Services Unit (MSU) of the Department of Resource Discovery Services. On behalf of the Yale Library and its users, the incumbent designs, maintains, and coordinates metadata technologies and workflows across multiple discovery systems. This includes development of application profiles, metadata crosswalks, and index normalization rules that support system interoperability and cross-collection discovery tools. The successful candidate will reach out proactively to stakeholders to collect user stories and functional requirements and take the lead in drafting project specifications. Reporting to the MSU Manager, the Metadata Strategy and Outreach Librarian plans and executes complex metadata projects in coordination with metadata policy and systems committees.
