The University of North Florida Library in Jacksonville invites applications for Head of Acquisitions and Collection Development. The Head of Acquisitions and Collection Development oversees and administers the development and management of library acquisitions under the direction of the Director of Technical Services. This position supervises the Electronic Resources Librarian and is responsible for the ordering and receiving of a wide variety of library materials, print, microform, electronic resources, etc. They oversee many of the direct contacts the library has with vendors. The position coordinates budget activity for the library materials budget and several other funds such as Auxiliary, Foundation, Sponsored Research, and Distance Learning to ensure the best use of library funds. The position also actively participates in collection development activities for the library and serves as a library liaison. The position works closely with all parts of the library, particularly as co-chair of the Collection Development Committee and with the administration office in managing the budget. 

Requirements:
ALA-accredited Master's of Library Science degree or equivalent, plus at least 5 years of experience in acquiring academic library materials. Must demonstrate an ability to work with budgets. Supervisory experience. Applicants with 9 years experience may be hired at the rank of University Librarian.

Salary range: 
$60,000 negotiable
