Electronic Resources Manager

Washington and Lee University seeks an innovative, collaborative, and forward-thinking professional to join the Collection Services department of Leyburn Library as the Electronic Resources Manager. This is a full-time (12-month) exempt position reporting to the Head of Collection Services.

This position oversees the library's electronic resources and discovery systems, and provides leadership and direction for the procurement, licensing, management, and assessment of the library's electronic resources. Manages the library's electronic resources and oversees all aspects of the electronic resources life cycle (acquisition, access, administration, support, and evaluation). Manages the library's $1.1 million budget for serials and electronic resources. Assists the Head of Collection Services in managing the department and its operations. Directly supervises one full-time staff member. Coordinates the electronic resources & serials activities of library staff on a daily basis, including training and back-up when needed. Manages and populates the Library's knowledgebase (SerialsSolutions), which provides access to the library's discovery services (Summon). Prepares electronic resources data for Library's transition to a new ILS, maintains high level of service during and beyond transition.
