[Metadatalibrarians] Call for Vice Co-Chairs for ALA Core Cataloging & Classification Research Interest Group

Dear All,

The ALA Core Cataloging & Classification Research Interest Group (CCRIG) is
looking for two volunteers to serve as Co-Vice Chairs for the 2022-2023
term. After serving for one year as Co-Vice Chairs, they will serve as
Co-Chairs for the 2023-2024 term. The purpose of CCRIG is to serve as a
forum for sharing and discussing the latest cataloging and classification
research projects in the organization and retrieval of information.

The Co-Vice Chairs are expected to participate in session planning and
delivery, including solicitation for speakers and selection of topics to be
presented. Co-Chairs will assume full responsibility for planning the
meetings, filing reports to ALA, and selecting incoming Co-Vice
Chairs. Attendance at ALA Annual Conferences and LibLearnX is desirable and
highly encouraged for the one-year Co-Vice Chair term and required for the
one-year Co-Chair commitment.

No prior experience is necessary. Interested applicants must be a member of
ALA Core.

If interested, please submit your name and a brief statement of interest to
Cynthia Romanowski (cromanowski at govst.edu) and Cindy Tian (ttian at nd.edu) by
June 24th, 2022.
