** Apologies for Cross-Posting **
The Core Bibliographic Conceptual Modeling Interest Group (BCMIG) is seeking two co-Chairs for 2022-2024 (one year as co-vice-chairs and one year as co-chairs). The purpose of the BCMIG is to provide a forum for the discussion of bibliographic conceptual models that serve as the basis for current cataloging standards and are expected to provide a foundation for future cataloging standards in a Linked Open Data environment, addressing both the theoretical bases of such models and their implementation in practice. If you are interested in the theoretical basis for, and practical application of, bibliographic conceptual models, consider becoming a BCMIG co-Chair!
As co-Chair of BCMIG, you are expected to attend both the Midwinter Virtual IG Week meetings and the annual conferences, and to participate in session planning and delivery. The co-Chair learns by working with the existing co-Chairs, so no prior experience is necessary. Your term would begin after July 2022. Please note that you must be a member of ALA Core to serve as co-chair.
If you are interested, please send your name, title, and related experience to: Paloma Graciani-Picardo <paloma.graciani at austin.utexas.edu<mailto:paloma.graciani at austin.utexas.edu>>, Thomas Dousa <tmdousa at uchicago.edu<mailto:tmdousa at uchicago.edu>>, and Nathan Putnam <putnamn at oclc.org<mailto:putnamn at oclc.org>>
We look forward to hearing from you!
