(Apologies for cross posting)

Treshani Perera, a researcher at the University of Kentucky Libraries,
invites you to participate in a research study investigating the
educational, Library and Information Science (LIS) work experiences, and
demographics of description specialists involved in inclusive description
work and/or initiatives.

For the purposes of this study, description specialists include but are not
limited to catalogers (including copy catalogers), metadata librarians,
archivists providing description, and other Library and Information Science
(LIS) workers who provide description as 50% or more of their work hours.

This study takes place entirely online through this survey. Your
participation is voluntary. You may withdraw from the survey at any time.
The survey does not ask for personally identifiable information, and IP
address and location data collection has been disabled in survey platform
(Qualtrics). Demographic data collected will only be used in the aggregate.
Data collected will remain anonymous, and be protected through password
restricted computers, cloud systems (Google Drive, MS Office suite), and
Qualtrics account.

Survey instrument consists of multiple-choice and open-ended questions. The
survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. To complete the survey,
please use this link: Inclusive Description in LIS
