The Core Cataloging Norms Interest Group invites proposals for presentations at the Core Interest Group Week, which will be held July 26-30, 2021. The Cataloging Norms session will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Central time) on Monday, July 26.

The Cataloging Norms Interest Group offers a forum for the exploration, communication, and exchange of ideas on the dynamics and evolution of cataloging/metadata norms and workflows. We encourage and seek out participation from anyone with an interest in cataloging - from public, academic, school, or special libraries - regardless of experience level or training.

Possible presentation topics include, but are not limited to:

  *   Cataloging for K-12 students
  *   Critical cataloging
  *   Authority control
  *   Cataloging workflows
  *   Cataloging and metadata for different types of materials
  *   Cataloging and metadata for different types of systems and collections

Please include the following information in your proposal:

  *   Title
  *   A brief summary of the topic
  *   Name(s), position(s) title(s), and email address(es) of presenter(s)
