Call for proposals: ALCTS Digital Preservation Interest Group (DPIG)
The ALCTS PARS Digital Preservation Interest Group (DPIG) seeks lighting round speakers to present at the ALA Annual Conference to be held in New Orleans on Sunday, June 24th, 2018, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM.

The Digital Preservation Interest Group’s charge is to serve as a venue for discussing the preservation management of digital assets whether commercial, born-digital or converted e-resources.
Presentation topics should be of current interest to preservation librarians, digital librarians, technical services librarians, archivists and should be approximately 5-7 minutes long.
 This year's theme is "Collaborative Partnerships in Digital Preservation". Other topics might include, but are not limited to:

·         Digital preservation as it relates to social media, digital humanities, digital curation, websites, research data, email, etc.

·         Digital preservation planning and challenges

·         The economics of digital preservation

·         Digital preservation success or failure stories ​

·         Digital preservation and training


The presentation format consists of lighting round sessions, 5-7 minutes each, where a topic is discussed using slides (21 or less). Please email abstracts of proposals to co-chairs by Friday, April 27th 2018.
