LAC Group seeks a Digital Asset Coordinator for a retail products company in the San Francisco area. This position is responsible for working with content creators to publish assets for metadata and legal usage (the DAM system is used internally and throughout the global market offices).  This role interfaces with many departments and system users, and serves as the primary point of contact for any issues or asset needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for information accessibility and possess an enthusiasm and aptitude for troubleshooting and helping users.

RESPONSIBILITIES
*         Ingest assets to the DAM system while performing quality control/quality assurance of files
*         Catalog assets using best practices for describing records with consideration of system end users; follow metadata standards, adhere to language guidelines and use controlled vocabulary
*         Archive assets according to internal retention schedules and assist data migration processes
*         Collaborate with Legal department on usage restrictions
*         Assess daily priorities to ensure projects are scheduled and delivered on time in order of urgency
*         Maintains tutorials and troubleshooting guides for users
*         Provides customer service, by training and troubleshooting with departments and global markets
*         Maintains DAM system user accounts and information to support accurate reporting
*         Works alongside departments to upgrade content and improve accessibility of assets

QUALIFICATIONS
*         Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies preferred
*         At least 3+ years of experience with digital asset and/or content management systems; familiarity with Cumulus a plus
*         Experience with databases; advanced skills in Excel and Filemaker Pro a plus
*         Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
*         Background or interest in archival concepts and cataloging methodology
*         Cataloging experience; understanding of taxonomy, metadata standards, DAM best practices
*         Basic understanding of creative processes and workflow, including familiarity with a variety of file formats including graphic and video files
