About the webinar:
Initially developed by FAO of the UN<http://www.fao.org/home/en/> in the context of the NeOn project as a collaborative environment for the development of the AGROVOC thesaurus<http://aims.fao.org/vest-registry/vocabularies/agrovoc-multilingual-agricultural-thesaurus>, later generalized to a SKOS-XL<https://www.w3.org/TR/skos-reference/skos-xl.html> development platform in the context of a collaboration with the University of Rome Tor Vergata, VocBench is now reaching its third incarnation<http://vocbench.uniroma2.it/>.
VocBench 3 (or simply, VB3), is the new version of VocBench, funded by the European Commission ISA² programme<https://ec.europa.eu/isa2/home_en>, and with development managed by the Publications Office of the EU, under contract 10632 (Infeurope S.A.).
VB3 will offer a powerful editing environment, with facilities for collaborative management of OWL <https://www.w3.org/OWL/> ontologies and SKOS/SKOS-XL<https://www.w3.org/TR/skos-reference/skos-xl.html> thesauri. VB3 will surpass its predecessor with native support for OWL, SKOS and SKOS-XL, completely rewritten components for better User Interface, User Management, History Tracking and Validation&Publication Workflow.
VocBench 3 will be released this summer, and this webinar can be a good occasion for being introduced to the platform for the first time or for learning about the improvements that VB3 is bringing over its predecessors.
