[Metadatalibrarians] Relational DB to MODS?

CollectiveAccess <http://collectiveaccess.org/> is open source collection
management software that is build on a mySQL relational database. You can
essentially design you own cataloging interface and now it will export XML.
So, you could create a MODS-based configuration profile, and create an
export mapping that will generate valid MODS XML.
There also must be some way to export the data from your current relational
database and then transform the raw data via XSLT into valid MODS XML.
