*Call for Proposals: ACRL Image Resources Interest Group ALA Annual
Conference Program*

*Sunday, June 24th 2012 *
*4:00-5:30pm*
*GRAND-Sequoia North, Ballroom E*

The ACRL Image Resources Interest Group (IRIG) is seeking proposals for
short presentations at the ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim on Sunday, June
24th from 4:00-5:30pm. Presentations will be brief (15 minutes or so) and
highlight current innovative practices, tools, or issues. The format will
be informal with ample time for Q&A discussion.

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

•    Visual literacy standards implementation
•    Metadata and image discovery
•    Embedded librarians and use of image resources
•    Developing interdisciplinary image collections, e.g., Digital
humanities projects
•    Developing image collections in an institutional repository
•    Outreach to image users across disciplines
•    Marketing image collections to campus community
•    Creating transformative collections (or exhibits)

To submit a proposal, please email us a brief description of your proposed
topic by Monday, May 7, 2012.
