Hi Robin,

I'm not sure if this is the sort of direction your talking about, but there is fairly extensive work connected to elearning in the area of cv's and [student] profiles under the general heading of 'portfolios '.

You can find some general information on the portfolio section of our site: http://jisc.cetis.ac.uk//topic/Portfolio . This is my area of expertise but one of the standards in the area is the IMS LIP http://www.imsglobal.org/profiles/ . Some colleagues were also involved in the development of an open specification http://wiki.cetis.ac.uk/LEAP2A_specification based on atom (with some extensions).

kind regards,
John

Subject: [Metadatalibrarians] encoding CVs?

Can anyone recommend a schema for encoding curricula vitae or similar
documents? There are discussions here about implementing something akin to
BibApp or the Harvard Med School's Catalyst, but possibly with additional
structured personal data, and it would be great to use an existing format
if available.

Thank you for any leads!
