like to invite you to our upcoming meeting at ALA Midwinter.  One does not 
have to be a member of AFAS or ACRL to participate in this discussion 
group.

The purpose of the AFAS Cataloging Discussion Group:
1.  Provide a forum for the discussion of access to African American 
resources. 
2.  Serve as a channel/clearinghouse to submit proposals to the Library of 
Congress for the enhancement of bibliographic records and authority files. 

3.  Coordinate AFAS participation in the Library of Congress Program for 
Cooperative Cataloging.
