[Metadatalibrarians] Image technical metadata

I have a couple of questions related to the ANSI/NISO Z39.87 standard for
image technical metadata:

1. Is anyone out there using all of the mandatory elements from the standard
in their technical metadata practice? If so, how are you capturing and
storing the information?
2. Has anyone performed a detailed mapping between the elements from the
standard and the tags in the TIFF Header? We've started one here, but it's a
big job, and I wanted to make sure we weren't duplicating effort before we
got too deep into it.
