Hello everyone!

First of all, thank you Clay for setting this list up! I know I'll find
it useful, and I expect that feeling is widespread. :-)

I'm Jenn Riley, and I'm the newly-appointed Metadata Librarian for the
Indiana University Digital Library Program. I received my MLS from
Indiana in August 2003, but I've been working as the Digital Media
Specialist at IU for nearly four years so I've been heavily involved in
digital libraries and metadata issues for some time.

I've just finished my third week on the job, so I'm still working out
priorities, etc., but we have a lot of exciting stuff going on here at
IU. Linda Cantara, our previous Metadata Librarian (Hi, Linda!)
mentioned a lot of projects that are still ongoing (ethnomusicological
video, EAD, etc.). We're also starting work on building a page-turning
image delivery system running off of METS documents, doing lots of work
with OAI at many different levels, starting to think about an
institutional repository (I'll definitely be in touch with you, David,
based on your recent post!), and are poised to get started totally
rebuilding our art image cataloging and delivery system, building on the
work Linda did when she was here and the developments in sharing of art
image cataloging that have developed since she left last December.

I'm looking forward to conversing with and learning from all of you!

Jenn
